We are trapped in a story that sees ourselves as isolated agents acting in the world. That illusion separates us from everything around, provoking dissonance in our need for belonging.

Painting Exile was part of the finalist of Walker & Hall Art Award exhibition in Waiheke Art Gallery in Aotearoa New Zealand in November 2023.
