“Ghillie suit” painting was my first ‘dark’ painting from the serie of “Military Compound” where I could use the technique painting green on black background. The title refers to the idea of camouflage. During that period of time I was going through a lot of stress in the relationship. The feeling of war struggles, uncertainty and being exposed on stressors. Here the camouflage suit is actually a cactus, so not the plant you would like to wear as a ghillie suit. I wanted to show a bitter side of the fact that someone wants to hide.
